Summer Course Dates

We are pleased to be offering a range of intensive weekend pottery courses in the summer of 2019.  These will cover all skill levels from beginners to more advanced makers. We are also very excited that Charlie Collier will be joining us as a guest teacher on our multi-piece pottery course sharing some of the skills he uses in both his work at Whichford pottery and in his own practice.

Global Gardens pottery workshop

We are very excited to be working in partnership with local community project Global Gardens.  Global Gardens is a community growing project that runs twice weekly organic gardening sessions, where people can learn about growing organic veg and take some home. The project shares food both in the form of free monthly suppers and the use of their wood fired pizza oven.  Add to the mix pottery classes where we will be making table and garden wares at One Wall Studio.

The project partners with Trinity Centre, Cardiff and  aims to help integrate refugees and asylum seeker into local communities.  Jack has been involved with the project from its first iteration, the Soil and Clay Project back in 2015. Now with funding from the Peoples Project awards we have been able to bring potting back to the project with the purchase of some new equipment and three terms of evening workshops.

These session are open to all and totally free but places are limited, so if you are interested do contact us at soilandclay@gmail.com.  The first six week course starts on 2nd October 5.30pm – 7.30pm and continue every Tuesday evening for six weeks.

If you miss this term course then don’t worry there will be another two to follow. Make sure you stay tuned to find out more closer to the time.
